The Sognefjord

This informal and charming hotel offers panoramic views of the Sognefjord. Here you can enjoy stunning vistas over Norway’s largest fjord. The hotel is easily accessible by public transport, express boat, and bus. Lavik is a traffic hub and a crossing point over the Sognefjord.

The parcel of land

The parcel of land has a parking area at the rear of the building. At the front, the grounds are neatly landscaped with a large lawn, barbecue area, and attractive planting along paved walkways. The charming family holiday home features a beautiful garden with fruit trees and berry bushes. All buildings are easily accessible.

The buildings

The original house was built in 1875. In 1968, an extension was added with hotel rooms, a function hall, kitchen, and more. On the adjacent plot, a new apartment building with three modern apartments has been constructed. The same plot also contains a fully renovated family holiday home. In addition, there is a garage and a workshop on the property.

How do you want to shape your future in Lavik?

For sale: not just the hotel, but the entire business—including buildings, existing contracts with tour operators, and an established brand name. There are several takeover options. You can choose to take over the business completely, but we are also open to a phased transfer, where we remain involved temporarily to ensure a smooth transition.

Of course, there is also room for your own ideas. For example, you could choose to close the hotel during winter or convert the upper residence into additional guest rooms. In short, there are plenty of opportunities to tailor the concept to your vision. We are happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

Lavik is truly a wonderful place to live. There is an excellent nursery and school within walking distance of the hotel, where children can attend school until the age of 16. The village offers a wide range of recreational activities, including a small indoor swimming pool. Additionally, it is only a 45-minute drive to Førde, where you will find all the amenities you would expect in a city.
